Simple: the padding material (very costly foam tied to a textile) used in the footwear industry at a high level is “embedded” between the external leather and inner suede. Result? In 4mm, you have two layers of leather: very strong, flexible, protective padding.

All the padded dividers are built into the bag, all hand-made in extra soft suede leather.
